Human Pride vs. Humble Spirit

As I hold my prayer guide & see the theme verse 'A man's pride will bring him low, but a humble spirit will obtain honor.' Prov 29:23

I wonder how many be tempted to interpret this verse to mean that we strive hard & harder to lower our spirit to a humble state.

My prayers go up for those brothers & sisters.

Man's pride vs. a humble spirit are the 2 subjects involved in this verse.

However hard or harder human tries he or she can never move towards humbling his or her spirit.

'a humble spirit' in this verse stands for the spirit of Christ.

Man's pride is nothing but the law of sin & death.

Only in following Christ whole-heartedly, the spirit of Christ, Holy Spirit, a humble spirit, will obtain honor after freeing the human from the law of sin & death.

Accountability to One Another in Christ

  Few years back, my understanding of accountability and judgement got mixed up. If you had asked me a question related to what I did & why I did, I'd immediately think that you were judging me. And, I'd feel vulnerable in responding openly and transparently to your question. I'll often want to know why you want to know & how you are going to use the information.  But the grace of God overflowed for me. How to cope with impending expiry date?

Following is a conversation thread among a group of friends.  V: bros how are you all coping with the nearing expiry date. R: nearing ‘expiry date’? I’m looking for organ donors V: Ha ha.
