Actionable points notes taking!

3 months back I wrote about a bad communication habit that became controversial & irked some folks. It got 6,500+ views. 
Today, decided to write on a good communication habit :-) 

Summarizing the actionable points after a discussion with customer or manager to give them a chance to review & validate our understanding is a good communication habit. 
Suggest everyone to practice this & improve. 
Many are not doing; only those who do, see the benefits. 

I learnt this in 2001 while preparing to get certified as Certified Quality Analyst (CQA) from Software Engineering Institute (SEI). I had been using this habit all these years & seen decent results. This habit is useful not only in our professional work life. I have used in some of the crucial conversations with spouse and it worked very well. I have also used this habit in the discussions with God and have realized excellent results. :-)
