Why not married yet? Why no baby yet?
This post is inspired from coming across some dear friends & family who either avoid social interactions on the fear of facing questions related to their marriage or baby OR get extremely frustrated after social interactions. Thus, we come to the grips of this evil practice happening still:
Some elders continue asking singles & couples for the status of their marriage or baby. And, even suggest potential road-maps for milestone accomplishment.
What is the root cause of such digging or nagging?
What is the root cause of such digging or nagging?
Strong craving to share knowledge makes them dig & nag. In sharing knowledge, they receive their sense of worthiness & so desperately seek out for situations & status to share knowledge.
How to respond?
While encountering such elders, we got to maintain our spirit of gentleness in faith-prayer & respond kindly. Our God definitely supply this need for remaining graciously to our enquirers when we ask him.

Not all couples are made by our God for babies. Some are special & assigned for special purpose to build God's kingdom. We read about one such couple in Scripture through whom God gifted salvation to even the probable author of Hebrews:
----
Aquila and his wife, Priscilla (also called Prisca), were close friends and coworkers with the apostle Paul. Forced from Rome by the emperor Claudius, they fled to Corinth (18: 1– 2). Like Paul, who stayed in their home, they were tentmakers by trade. On his way back to Antioch, Paul left Priscilla and Aquila in Ephesus to establish the church in that city. There the godly couple taught the Christian way “more accurately” to a gifted Alexandrian disciple named Apollos (18: 26). They were eventually able to return to Rome, where the church met in their home (Rom. 16: 3– 5). Paul’s deep love and respect for Aquila and Priscilla is obvious in his letter to the Romans, where he declares that the couple “risked their necks” for his life (Rom. 16: 3). (Romans 16: 3– 5)

How would the babies-are-must-for-couples principled elders react?
But even this wouldn't convince the babies-are-must-for-couples principled elders. 'How do you know, Aquila & Priscilla, didn't have any children???' they'll ask. That's exactly why we seek & practice responding with the spirit of gentleness from our God.
