Contributions to our life beyond professional work accomplishments
2019 2nd half just began. Just reviewed my 1st half contributions to our life beyond professional work accomplishments:
(1) Coaching Younger Gen:
(1.1) My 7th grade Maths tuition student scored 2 grades higher in her 2nd term
(1.2) My 12th grade Physics tuition student scored 94/100 in her final exam
(1.3) My 9th grade tuition student who wasn't going to school & willing to write exams, went finally & I received appreciation from her school teacher
(2) Reducing Global Warming:
I participated in an essay writing competition during school & won 2nd prize. But my real participation began 2.5 yrs back:
(2.1) Not using fan
(2.2) Not using AC
(2.3) Not using lights in daytime. I move my self to the spot there is day light.
(2.4) Using staircases across floors
(2.5) Walking to any work within 2 kms
(2.6) Using mass transportation (bus/train/share cab) as feasible
Really struggled in initial weeks. Then, soul adjusted.
Also, initial months I'd often hear: "How can you sit like this without fan?" & folks switched it on trying to be helpful as soon as they enter my room. Now, they have also given up on me & stopped switching-on fans or lights for me! 😊
Now, I am looking forward to hear your contributions to our life beyond professional work accomplishments; kindly share.
Let all appreciations, praises, & glories be dedicated & offered to God.

Today's news: "Mumbai and Kolkata may get submerged sooner than earlier estimated. Citing a Climate Central study, New York Times says much of India’s financial capital may be wiped out by 2050, with the city’s “historic downtown core particularly vulnerable”. Similarly, most of Kolkata could lie in the coastal flood risk zone by mid-century. By then, some 36 million Indians would be living on land below the high-tide line. Earlier, an IPCC report suggested that four Indian cities – Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Surat – could sink by 2100 if the current rate of carbon emissions goes unchecked."
