[21/08, 13:36] Sis: Coming from a Social Work background it was ingrained in me to bring "social change" through protests, advocacy, lobbying, petitioning through memorandums, and propaganda through slogan chants and vigils. I will not say this is useless, rather, it's not lasting in terms of change. The problem is in the Human nature and the heart. Laws have their pros and cons and our leaders cannot implement change completely at the grassroot level or address the issues of the heart.

Since I started understanding scripture and being taught by the Spirit of truth my perspective has shifted in terms of facilitating "social change".

The primary agent of change is the condition of a humble heart and contrite spirit that's being taught by the Spirit of God. That brings lasting and eternal change.

But, seriously, sister, you sought the truth & kingdom of God principles after your continued failures through your slogans, chants, vigils, protests, etc., those failure experiences were the treatment of your ego being orchestrated by God to make your heart teach-able & listen-able to principles of God.

[21/08, 14:45] Sis: Absolutely, we were the first people to organise the protests through YWCA in Delhi after the graphic case of Nirbhaya had occurred the previous night. Also, I've noticed that being a part of outward efforts also boosts our ego and brings glory to man. But, when we ask God to change through the work of the Cross and the Spirit's teaching it establishes the kingdom and brings Glory to God alone.

[21/08, 14:49] Sis: This also causes us in becoming only "channels of blessing" but makes God the change maker!

Accountability to One Another in Christ

  Few years back, my understanding of accountability and judgement got mixed up. If you had asked me a question related to what I did & why I did, I'd immediately think that you were judging me. And, I'd feel vulnerable in responding openly and transparently to your question. I'll often want to know why you want to know & how you are going to use the information.  But the grace of God overflowed for me.
