How to deal with false teachers or false teachings?

Many seem to be ignorant on how to deal with false teachers.

Even some leaders who've received the discerning gift from Holy Spirit to identify false teachers or teachings have a weakness of falling into their natural instinct.

These are ignorant or immature leaders in the word of Christ in some areas of their lives. Their fall into their natural instinct be evident in the following:
  1. Their gossiping against false teachers under the cover of love, prayers and mercies of our Lord for the false teachers and their families.
  2. Their negative propaganda against false teachers through their words or behaviors or both.
Coming back to the question on what exactly should our responses be in dealing with false teachers or false teachings?

As I've been praying and searching for this answer for several years, Holy Spirit directed me to pay attention to this answers, which he has already recorded through Jude.
"17 But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.

18 They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.”

19 It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.

20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,

21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life." Jude
It's critical to note that there is no call for a counterinsurgency against the false teachers and there is no call for an enquiry or lynching of these deceivers.

Building ourselves in our most holy faith means we have to learn what the truth is, which means studying our bible. There is really no going around and gossiping to others about the false teachings or the false teachers in the kingdom of God's way.

Keeping ourselves in the love of God means we must constantly eliminate sin from all areas of our lives through confession. Thus, we allow His love and forgiveness to continually flow through our hearts and filling our lives.

More importantly, we must remember the judgement words of our Lord regarding false teachers or false teachings:
"1 And he said to his disciples, 'Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come!

2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.

3 Pay attention to yourselves!..." Luke 17.
