4 features of Godly woman

She was not my relative.

She was not my friend.

She was not my family friend.

She was not in my known connections.

But I observed this 4 features in her:

  1. She loves Jesus
  2. She loves bible
  3. She is prayerful
  4. She wants our lives to be governed by biblical principles

So, I asked my parents to arrange her for my life partner. I did not want to look for any more woman.

She married me, loved me, comforted me, encouraged me, rebuked me, advised me, forgave me, honoured me among her family members, shaped me, & refined me.

Today, on our 19th anniversary, I asked her whether she could be with me for few more years.

"No!" she said. "This is not what God says," she hugged. "I'll be with you till death parts us!" she assured with a kiss.

Thus, I prayed along with David this morning:

"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalms 103:1-5"

29 Apr 2019: Good morning, today's Bible passage is taken from Matthew 4:1-11. 😝Am I talking like a pastor? 😄😄 Today I decided to read a small but significant passage. It is about the temptation of Jesus. In the Bible it says that Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit and ate nothing for 40 days and 40 nights. Though this seems a bit ritualistic, Jesus, the son of God was fasting while praying, and so it is fine. Also, our God is not a ritualistic God; neither is his Son. When I read the phrase '40 days and 40 nights', I made reference to Noah and Moses: Noah was in the ark with his family and the animals while it rained for 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS; Moses saw God's glory on Mount Sinai and stayed there for 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS. I don't know whether there is any connection between Noah, Moses and Jesus Christ, but I hope I keep this in mind so that maybe in the future if I ever come across something like this it would be useful informa

Shall we first see what bible says about honoring and caring for our parents throughout their lives? Honoring Parents: Exodus 20:12: "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you." Proverbs 23:22: "Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old." Caring for Parents: 1 Timothy 5:4: "But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God."
