Church attacks!

"Why do we need to go to a weekly cell group (life group)?" 

we asked Rev. Paul Thangaiah yesterday when we got an opportunity to drive him from his hotel to a conference venue. 

"We worship every Sunday together with all. This is important. This also involves lot of emotions and feelings. 

Besides this, the most important aspect of us is our soul, which is our real person, our spiritual inner being. 

We need to feed this with the word of God on very regular basis. This is very important and could happen only in the weekly cell groups (life groups)," he explained. 

"So, please do go on weekly basis trusting in our Lord Jesus," he concluded with a smile. 

Of course, the words with which he explained was different. This is just a recap of what we could remember and recollect.

The divine strategy by which Jesus, the master of our universe, targets to bring our world to an awareness of him is to create in the midst of our world a family, a family life, a shared life. Subsequently, establish, nurture, sustain and grow it intentionally. This is also the vision of many servants of Christ. 

John 17

20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,


21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.


22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—


23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

Folks all over the earth, become members by new birth of this new life in Christ.

They enter into a family circle unmistakably and get filled with joy and warmth. 

The world and believers observing this will envy it and will long to join the warmth and the fellowship of the family circle. 

The remarkable thing is that when the church is like this there, it attacks the corruption and evils around it, redeems even the believers who are entrenched in the idols of their heart and falling short of holiness compared to the holiness of its great shepherd and master. 

It is not church's responsibility to make souls to accept Jesus Christ. This responsibility lies with God the father, Jesus the son and the Holy Spirit of Jesus.

 

Every church of Jesus Christ only attempts to give every soul an opportunity to make an intelligent choice of whether to receive Jesus Christ or reject Jesus Christ. 

The churches that do not understand and do not have this clarity of responsibilities often get into troubles with authorities. And, the authorities who do not have this clarity often see churches as responsible for conversions and persecute the church.
