Will deep hurts in relationships take long time to heal?

Yesterday, I met a brother in Christ. He was so very burdened with not able to see his new born baby & wife for more than a month. And, has been interacting with his loving wife only over phone. And, their plan was to carry on like that for 2 more months before wife and baby come to his house. 

I understood the 4 specific causes of his problem from deep hurts of 2 people.

Identified 4 antidote principles of Christ bible passages addressing the causes. 

We read it together. 

Identified couple of activities for him to do aligned with the 4 principles of Christ. Initially, he resisted saying those 2 people really don't deserve such efforts. And, 2 months can go by quickly. 

I explained how he needs to do these to love our Lord Jesus more. Finally, he accepted. We prayed together.  

He became very happy. He is very excited about doing the recommendation this evening and hoping to reconcile with both people with the help of Holy Spirit. 

Just sharing this witness and testimony in the power of the gospel of Christ because I often hear a lie in the air, "Deep hurts in relationships take long time to heal". This may be true for the people of the world. But a clear lie among the people of God.
