The main topic of discussion in this chapter would be the Transfiguration. Jesus took Peter, James and John to the top of a high mountain. There his face began to shine and his clothes turned as white as light. Just then, Moses and Elijah appeared before them and began talking with Jesus. The disciples were frightened but they were also astonished.

Later on-wards, Jesus drives a demon out of a boy. Then the disciples asked him why they weren't able to drive out that same demon. Jesus tells them that they didn't have enough faith to do it. Jesus incredibly illustrates that even if you have faith as a small as a mustard seed and tell a mountain to move from here to there, it will be done.

Another awesome miracle that Jesus did is mentioned in Matthew 17:27. In order to pay their temple taxes Jesus tells Peter to go fishing to the lake. The first fish he catches will have a four-drachma coin in its mouth. These will pay for both Jesus's and Peter's taxes. I read this verse again to make sure it was saying what I read from it! 😝😝

29 Apr 2019: Good morning, today's Bible passage is taken from Matthew 4:1-11. 😝Am I talking like a pastor? 😄😄 Today I decided to read a small but significant passage. It is about the temptation of Jesus. In the Bible it says that Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit and ate nothing for 40 days and 40 nights. Though this seems a bit ritualistic, Jesus, the son of God was fasting while praying, and so it is fine. Also, our God is not a ritualistic God; neither is his Son. When I read the phrase '40 days and 40 nights', I made reference to Noah and Moses: Noah was in the ark with his family and the animals while it rained for 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS; Moses saw God's glory on Mount Sinai and stayed there for 40 DAYS AND 40 NIGHTS. I don't know whether there is any connection between Noah, Moses and Jesus Christ, but I hope I keep this in mind so that maybe in the future if I ever come across something like this it would be useful informa

Shall we first see what bible says about honoring and caring for our parents throughout their lives? Honoring Parents: Exodus 20:12: "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you." Proverbs 23:22: "Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old." Caring for Parents: 1 Timothy 5:4: "But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God."
